Anonymous I bought these boots as a gift to send them overseas, so I can't tell much about it other than assuring that is a very heavy shoe.

M. L Took about 1 month to break in - I used these boots as a UPS loader. The job is 4-5 hours a day, and 5 days a week. The boots' soles were worn flat after under a year of work, which co-workers had boots that lasted well over two years (I thought they should have lasted longer). When I first purchased the boots they were horribly uncomfortable, above the ankles there were very painful pressure points on both sides; it was painful just walking after I left work, and I had to remove the boots as soon as the shift was over, but after a month the boots were quite comfortable. I wouldn't buy these again, as the pain they caused during the break-in period was too painful. I've purchased the Caterpillar Advance 6" Steel Toe for replacements, and I'll leave a review once I get and use them.

Will R Great overall boot. I have had a pair of these for over 3 years, wear them almost daily. I bought them primarily for motorcycling, and they have been a great boot for that. Very durable, and they have good traction in wet weather. I may switch to the Indiana style next time for a bit more height on the upper. I also wear these boots to work everyday, work in/around warehouse and walk a lot. Break in was a little rough but after a week they were fine, and have been very comfortable since then. They are just now wearing out after 3 years; I would definitely recommend this boot. I have had other boots for riding that were more expensive and did not last as long. As far as fit, other brands I have had to buy a 10 1/2 but a 10 fit find in the Cats.

Luke Slater I found these boots to be moderately durable. The tread on the bottom didn't seem to last too long, but that may be because I walk several miles a day as part of my job. The boots took about two weeks of constant wear to finally break in, but even after that I felt that the insoles never took on the shape of my foot. Uncomfortable lumps caused pain on the bottom of my feet. Overall, you get what you pay for: these boots do a good job at protecting your feet, but at the expense of comfort.

Anonymous Good Investment - These are great all-around workboot-style shoes. Great look, good comform level, and extremely strong. Aside from being extremely useful for outdoor work, I use these for volunteer firefighting -they're VERY easy to get on and off in a hurry, which I haven't always found to be the case with lace-up boots. The only caveat: they run about a half size to a full size large, so order a size that would normally be "snug."

Tony The only complaint I have about these boots, if I can even call it a complaint, is that these shoes are heavy (steel-toe, of course they're heavy). So if you plan on doing a lot of walking in them you might opt for a lighter shoe. Other than that, though, these boots are warm, tough, durable and stylish. They're great and because they don't have a little tree on the ankle they cost a lot less than you'd expect.

Anonymous Caterpillar 2nd Shift/ Steel Toe - This will be my third pair in three years. The other pairs are still usable, although too rough to shine and are not totally waterproof. I use these boots for the fire service; brush fires, blasting/ cutting details, and as dress station boots. They do shine nice, I tear the toes up in 1 year so they can't be dress shined. Very comfortable and a 6-hole zipper can be inserted.
